2018 Suzuki GSX-S750 Review: First Ride

Packed with an inline-four motor, top cycle parts and electronic aids, Suzuki's GSX-S750 has waged war on established names like Triumph Street Triple and Kawasaki Z900. So, does the new middleweight have enough ammo to unsettle its rivals? We find out . . .

Just about a decade ago, upgrading to a big bike in India was considered sort of a suicide mission. I say this because back then we only had full-blown litre-class bikes on offer, and most riders – if they wanted an upgrade – had to directly hop on to these behemoths from mass market 150 – 200cc motorcycles. The idea of gradual progression simply didn’t exist, which also meant the lack of the experience required to handle a high-performance machine. Over the years, however, things have, thankfully, changed, as more manufacturers have bridged the gap between these two extremes. And suffice it to say that in this regard the middleweight segment plays the most significant role, with its right balance of practicality and performance.
