At this price, the Yaris is the most expensive car in its segment. Rivals include the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, VW Vento and Skoda Rapid.
Toyota has launched the Yaris, a mid-size saloon, in India. Prices for the car range from Rs. 8.75 lakh to Rs. 14.07 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Deliveries of the car will commence next month.
The car adopts its variant nomenclature from the bigger Corolla Altis. Which means that the four variants of the are J (base), G, V and VX (top-end) . Also, the CVT automatic option is offered on all four variants, which is a segment first.
