Because I am constantly testing different motorcycles and scooters, sometimes, for brief periods, I don’t get to spend time with my long-term FZ25. But I’m always delighted to get back to it. Why? Well, it continues to be one of the most comfortable entry-level sports bikes in India. Even for a tall guy like me, the seating position is very good and the ergonomics are spot on.
The 250cc unit might be a little rough around edges, but it does deliver enough power for you to have some good fun. For everyday city riding, it’s got the perfect acceleration burst, and the best part is that the torque spreads fairly large, so you will get enough kick when you twist the throttle, irrespective of the rev range. The only issue I have with the engine is that it starts to feel stressed above 100kmph, and you’ll begin to notice some vibrations, especially on the handle bars.
